This antique Huaxi baby carrier, made from sturdy cotton and silk, is unique and beautifully crafted with silk embroidery. This baby carrier is characterised by the cross-stitch embroidery on indigo dyed cotton. The ivory coloured patches, tinted with soft orange, give the baby carrier a slightly refined effect. It features geometric stylised flowers and grains of rice patterns.
These ethnic embroidered baby carriers from the Huaxi, a subtribe of the Miao, and other ethnic minorities from South West China. They are all unique and beautifully crafted pieces.
