This embroidered hat is a Pakistan children’s headpiece from Swat valley. The detailed stitching shows animistic displays such as ram horns, that are believed to protect the children from evil. The headdress is also decorated with buttons and zippers. Estimated is that this particular hat has been created between 1960 and 1980 in Pakistan.
